NIXTM (Nuclear In-Processing Express) is a web-based software application that is designed to increase automation in the process of Access Authorization at Nuclear Stations. The application includes a number of sub-processes and workflows that affect most departments and personnel at the site. Requests for Unescorted and/or Escorted access can be submitted by any department at the site and applies to any individual, whether they be contracted or employed. NIX facilitates the subsequent sub-processes for an individual to become authorized to enter the Protected Area or Owner-Controlled Area (OCA). These sub-processes include; collecting requests for authorization, identifying, scheduling, and tracking completion of the activities required for Unescorted Access, scheduling “Ready-To-Work” activities, configuring and printing badges, tracking lost badges, random drug and alcohol testing programs, managing access to other site buildings, television monitor broadcasting, etc.
Primary users include Valve Packing Specialist, Component Engineers, Planners, and anyone in the organization tasked with leak reduction.
Main Search Main Search Page - Provides for simple criteria enabling users to search for packing configurations across a fleet of sites by Equipment Hierarchy, Equipment Manufacturer, Model, and the status of the packing configuration record. Search Results are then displayed in the panel below with pertinent information to distinguish the equipment and the record status information. The user can then click on any item in the search result row to return all information related to the packing configuration.
Packing Config Packing Configuration - Images can be associated to each packing configuration. Packing materials are represented by distinct symbols and are also spelled out on the screen. An image library of thousands of packing configurations is provided. Users can also create, add, and associate new images at any time.
Packing Screen Configurable Pages - Information pages for equipment, packing, live loading, friction, and operating conditions are completely configurable. As many or as few data items can exist on each page and in any order. Page layouts can be completely customized and field labels can be changed to meet organizational specifications.

In addition to supporting custom configurable datasheets, the SmartSeal System Administrator has the ability to create multiple datasheets and save the layouts to be referenced at anytime by users.
