The application was developed on the foundation of IKS’ Service Request Manager. It serves as a central entry and tracking point for all identified margin issues across the 17 units. Each issue goes through a simple but solid work flow, processed by one or multiple evaluators. Further, each issue can be associated to one or more systems. This association automatically brings in System Health data into the Margin Management application, and it automatically pushes the margin issue to the System Health report. This automatic push will alert the System Manager to review the newly identified margin issue for a potential impact on his or her system. For issues that meet the impact threshold the System Manager will be expected to build an action plan in SystemIQ and track it through its implementation. Action steps are also linked back to the margin issue to facilitate action plan reporting against the margin issue. The Margin Management application and its integration with SystemIQ is another important step in the creation of a complete asset management portal for System Managers.
