Nuclear Industry Web-Based ERI in Production
ERWG members begin to use IKS' Industry Equipment Reliability Index Reporting tool.

IKS is pleased to announce the production use of our new Nuclear Industry Web-based Equipment Reliability Index reporting solution.   The software was first announced and demonstrated at the 2008 Equipment Reliability (ER) Forum on September 15th, 2008 in St. Charles, Missouri.  The tool was then piloted using actual industry data from the 3rd quarter of 2008 by a small set of Equipment Reliability Working Group (ERWG) members.  Based on the pilot, we made some final adjustments to the tool and it is now ready for production use in March of 2009.

So far we have gotten great feedback from industry members regarding the following points:

·         Simple Data Entry - Low training requirements

·         No “Middle-Man” Required – Data Automatically Aggregated

·         Results Reported Immediate – No Delay

·         High Value In Collecting Performance Values Not Just ERI Points

·         Having Guidance And Criteria Readily Available During Data Entry.

·         Easy Comparisons Of Single Unit to Industry Top Quartile

·         Continued focus on keeping the reporting units anonymous

·         Allowing for easy ERWG modifications to indicators, guidance, and criteria

·         Automatic statistical analysis and trending

Since the launch of the Nuclear Industry web-based ERI we have gotten great feedback and industry participation.  At IKS we are excited about getting this effort underway and anticipate it will provide value to the ERWG members for many years to come.
