We are proud to announce that Ken Hart will be joining Insert Key Solutions (IKS) on Feb 2, 2009 in a Senior Equipment Reliability Consulting position. 

Prior to joining IKS, Ken spent 30 years holding various positions at the PPL Susquehanna Nuclear Station.  He was responsible for the initial maintenance program development and maintenance engineering support functions during the start-up of Unit 1.    Ken received an NRC Senior Reactor Operator license and transferred to Operations as a Unit Supervisor in the control room.  Ken has also served as Senior Outage Coordinator and Preventive Maintenance Coordinator.    He was responsible for incorporating INPO’s AP-913, Equipment Reliability Process into Susquehanna’s organizational practices and directed an 18 month long Preventive Maintenance Reconstitution Project implementing AP-913 concepts to the PM Program.

Ken is an industry valve expert and at PPL he coordinated all valve work efforts including the check valve program, valve packing program, Motor Operated valve program, spare parts control and reduction efforts, valve standardization, check valve program and interfacing with design engineering.

Ken holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, New York.  He has held positions in various industry working groups and committees including:  The OM22 Check Valve Working Group, Preventive Maintenance Coordinator’s Group (PMCG), and The Nuclear Industry Check (NIC) Valve Group.
